THE STRUCTURE OF OUR NETWORK
Managing an international organization to encourage the ideas and problem-solving between individuals from different cultures and diverse business environments is a challenge. The WBN Network organizes its leadership to be inclusive and foster a culture of initiative and comradery directed at the common goal of serving the needs of our international clients.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors has representatives from WBN’s main operating regions throughout the World. The Board oversees the vision and execution of the business plan as approved by the Owners, and implemented by the WBN office and its Executive staff.
Business plans, financial management, operational changes and new membership applications are reviewed by the Board via monthly global teleconferences and approved by the Owners at each Owners Conference, held semi-annually at various membership locations around the world.
The current Chairman of the Board is Mr. Florian Karle, Suedvers Gruppe, Germany, who is pictured above.
OWNERS COUNCIL
The Owners Council, represented by the Insurance Brokerage Owners and their Executive Staff, is the final approval process for implementing changes in business planning, the approval of new members, and financial management of WBN.
The Owners Council is also the main entity from which candidates for the Board of Directors and Regional Leaders are selected. Board of Director Candidates must first solicit and obtain two-thirds approval from their Regional Member companies before their name can be placed into nomination for a Board Seat.
Regional Leaders are voluntary positions and that person or firm assists the WBN office in the coordination of regional meetings, the distribution of timely information and the building of relationships within the Insurance Industry in their region.
REGIONAL LEADERS AND COMMITTEES
Each region selects a Board Member to lead regional projects and initiatives. The Latin American region is currently lead by Mr. Jose Roberto Conduta of Harmonia Corredores; the Australasia/Africa Region is led by Mr. Ajit Singh Dhingra of Prudent Insurance Brokers; the U.S. Region is lead by Mr.Scott Stewartof Hylant Group and Europe is led by Mr. Daniel de Swaan, Meijersof the Netherlands.
ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Advisory Committees in the areas of Technology, Commercial Practices, Employee Benefits, Business Development and Marketing & Branding, consisting of Owners and their international staff create, monitor and approve the progress and success of the short-term and long-term business plans.
Technology Committee Members oversee the constant development of the WBN’s proprietary International Management System, WBNet, and is the main body which interacts with Vertafore, our insurance industry technology partner.
Employee Benefits Committee Members are the Employee Benefit leaders of our member companies oversee the product, insurance carrier relationships and service requirements necessary to analyze and implement international coverages for our clients.
Commercial Committee Members are the managers of the international desks of our Owners review and implement the processes and procedures for the interaction between members and the standardization of forms and materials in the service of international clients.
Business Development/Marketing and Branding Members are those individuals most suited for the Marketing and Brand identification of WBN worldwide, and the global solicitation of current and future international clients.
